☆グビさん遺児育英基金:モハメッドの大学1年生2学期のレポートと第14回めの奨学金支給☆

多くの方々にご支援いただいているサルム・グビ（Salum Ngubi）さんの遺児の学費援助のための『グビさん遺児育英基金』。

おかげさまで長男のモハメッドはダルエスサラームから南西に500kmほどのイリンガにある大学で、充実した大学生活を送っています。教育実習もしてきました。 （スマホのカメラが壊れたそうで、今回は写真がありません。。)

こんにちは！

皆さん、お元気でお過ごしのことと思います。僕は元気で、毎日の日課にベストを尽くそうと頑張っています。

一週間の短い休みの後、3月に2学期が始まりました。この学期は１学期と違った独自のコースがあります。

わたしの好きなコースの一つは、物理学の実験方法です。それには、物理の測定方法がダイレクトに含まれているためです。実際に多くの事実を観察することができ、わくわくしました。

５月１日はダルエスサラーム大学で実施された研究日でした。学生と大学のスタッフの両方が協力し合う機会を得ました。物理、化学、スワヒリ語、生物、経済と情報コンピューター技術などのいろいろな学科について様々な研究に触れることができました。そこから多くのことを学び、現在の自分の研究の来年に向けての意欲が湧きました。

そういった心おどる出来事もありましたが、２学期は１学期よりもたいへんでした。ごくわずかな時間で、夜や週末までの勉強をなんとかせねばならず、ちょっとした運動をする時間すら取れませんでした。

大学の試験の後、２か月以下の教育実習期間の知らせがありました。僕はイリンガ州のムキンビジ区にあるムトゥイビラ中学に行くことになりました。2006年開校の公立学校で全校生徒800人です。

教員を目指すすべての学生は、通常、現在の3年間の教育課程の最初の2年間に合計で16週を下らない指導を受けた教育実習をしなければなりません。教育実習とその方法は、大学の教育学部の教育実践計画書に定められたものによって決められています。

ふつう、1週間の教育実習には5日間の実習先の学校への出席が含まれています。僕は、先生方と同じようにすべての時間割に出席するように割り当てられました。

実習の評価が行われましたが、その中でも通常、評価するときに重要視されるのは、教材に対する知識、授業計画、提示のわかりやすさ、生徒にふさわしい言葉を使っているか、学習活動の幅を提示できるかなどです。

初年度の教育実習の目的は、生徒たちにクラス内での実際の教育環境に触れさせることと、教育課程で教わった理論を使って問題解決していくことです。生徒たちとのやりとりは最初はそれほど簡単ではありませんでしたが、時間がたつにつれ慣れてきました。

最初の3日間、教師による授業を参観し、授業のやり方をよく見て覚えました。そして様々なクラスの達成基準に注意し、教職員と生徒たちの規則に気を付けました。自分の時間割が決まるとすぐに実習が始まりました。僕は2つのクラスを担当しました。2年生は全部で184人いて、4つに分かれていました。ほかの4年生のクラスは36人が一つでした。クラスの各々おける理解能力に関する正確なデータを入手するのは少し難しかったです。

授業において、現存モデルの枠組みの中に自分のアイデアを合致させようと試みました。クラス担任教員の知識と承認を得て、だんだんと改革をもたらしました。それはそんなに難しくありませんでした。僕の教えた物理はたくさんのおもしろい学習活動があったからです。大学での授業で経験した新しい方法やアプローチの仕方を試みるためのすばらしい機会となりました。

生徒たちは、そういったアイデアを渇望していて、前向きな姿勢を見せました。しかし、教育実習中に図書館の不足、実験器具と教育用具、とくにチョークなどの不十分さという課題に直面しました。僕に教育実習経験をさせてくれた彼らとの時間はとても楽しいものでした。わたしたちの国の生徒が経験した教育制度に関する新しい考えも浮かびました。この経験を通して、僕は若者のための教育システムを改善するいくつかの革新的なことをやりたいと思っています。教育実習は7月に始まり、10月に終わりました。今、11月12日に始まる2年度のスタートに向けてキャンバスに戻ろうとしているところです。大いなる進歩のために僕のレベルをベストにできるように計画しています。

I would be glad if you are all doing well and healthy. On my side am fine and trying my best to do well on fulfilling my daily activities.

After a short holiday for a week, the second semester started on March. This semester had its own courses different from those taught during the first semester.

One of my favorite courses was experimental methods of physics. It was due to direct involvement in physical activities of measurements. I enjoyed a lot seeing facts in real life.

On 1st May, a research day for University of Dar es salaam and its campuses was conducted. Both the students and staff members of the university were given opportunity to participate. I witnessed different researches concerning various subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Swahili, Biology, Economy and Information computer technology. I learned a lot from them and got motivated to present my research next year.

Apart from all those enjoyments, it was a tougher term compared to the first semester. With very little time, forcing to dominate time on studies till night hours and weekends. It was even difficult to get time for physical exercises.

After university exams, it was announced a period of fieldwork not less than 2 months. I was chosen to attend at Mtwivila Secondary school, located at Mkimbizi ward in Iringa region. It is a government school initiated in 2006 with a total of 800 students.

After university exams, it was announced a period of fieldwork not less than 2 months. I was chosen to attend at Mtwivila Secondary school, located at Mkimbizi ward in Iringa region. It is a government school initiated in 2006 with a total of 800 students.

All students-teachers must normally do a total of not less than 16 weeks of supervised teaching practice during the first two years of the current three years programme of education. The mode of teaching practice and supervision is been determined by the school of education and faculties of education from the University, laid down in the teaching practice prospectus.

Ordinarily, a week of teaching practice comprised of 5 days' attendance at the teaching practice institution (school). I was assigned to perform duties on same scale of attendance as regular teachers, present for all timetabled classes.

The assessment activity was done, in which some important points were generally taken into account in assessing a lesson such as knowledge of content material, lesson plans, clarity of presentation, use of language at a level appropriate to the pupils and provision for a range of learning activities to students.

The purpose of the first-year teaching practice is to expose students to the real educational environment in class and solve them applying the theories taught in educational courses. It wasn’t so easy to interact to student at first, but I got used to them as time passed by.

During the first three days at school, I made requests to observe regular class teachers, obtained and noted their scheme of work. Then noted the standards of attainment in various classes and observed carefully the school rules for pupils as well as the regulations for staff. I started teaching as soon as my timetable was settled. I was been handled two classes. The form two class with a total of 184 students, divided into 4 streams. And the other form 4 class with 36 students in a single stream. It was a bit difficult to obtain accurate data for each student in a class concerning their understanding capacity.

When teaching, I tried to fit my own ideas into the framework of the existing model, bringing innovations slowly, with knowledge and approval of the class teacher. This was a bit easy since the subject I taught (Physics) has got a lot of exciting learning activities. It was my greatest opportunity to try out new methods and approaches I experienced during courses from the University.

Students showed positive response with thirst to learn use ideas. Though the challenges faced at school during learning activities such as lack of library, inadequate laboratory equipment and teaching tools especially chalks. It was a very joyful moment with them, which gave me much teaching experiences and new thoughts concerning the educational system experienced by students in our country. Through this experience I am willing to make some innovations in improvement of the education system for youth. The teaching practice period started on July and ended on October 2018. I am now expecting to get back to campus for a start of the second-year studies which will commence on 12 November 2018. Planning to do my level best for great improvements.
