☆グビさん遺児育英基金:モハメッドの大学1年生1学期のレポートと第12回めの奨学金支給☆

多くの方々にご支援いただいているサルム・グビ（Salum Ngubi）さんの遺児の学費援助のための『グビさん遺児育英基金』。 おかげさまで長男のモハメッドが大学生活を昨年の11月から始めました。ダルエスサラームから南西に500kmほどのイリンガにあります。 充実した大学生活のようです。

こんにちは！
みなさん元気に毎日を過ごされていることと思います。僕は元気です。自己研鑽しながら、ますます健康的にすごしています。勉強は順調に続けています。これは、僕の1学期についてのレポートです。
高校生活の終わりは、大学生活の始まりでした。僕は自分の勉強を深めるためにムクワワ大学に入学しました。イリンガ州にあるダルエスサラーム大学のキャンバスの一つです。
2017年11月、僕はバスでイリンガへ行きました。ダルエスサラームからイリンガまでは、バスで9時間かかりました。ムクワワ大学のキャンパスは、バス停から約3kmのところにありました。僕はその日のうちに無事に大学に到着しました。翌日、登録を済ませ、その後、すぐに授業に出席しました。
僕は物理学の教育の学士コースを取ることを認められました。このコースでは、質の高い教育の提供を意図したり、社会改革に向けての教育の公共サービスの調査をしたりします。それは学校、専門学校、大学における教育キャリアーの鍵となります。理論物理学者になりたいという僕の願いが、このコースを選ばせました。
キャンパスの環境は勉強にもってこいですが、イリンガは僕の慣れてきた環境から比べるとちょっと寒いです。やはりイリンガにある中学校（Ifunda Tchnical Secondary Schjool）で一緒に学んだ友人たちに再会できたのは嬉しいことでした。
環境に慣れるのはそれほど大変じゃありませんでした。いろいろな活動に参加する中で新しい友人たちもできました。勉強の他にも、バスケットボール、サッカー、バレーボールなどのスポーツやゲームのおもしろいアクティビティがありました。 平日の夕方には、ちょっとしたトレーニングをして、週末には、友人たちと一緒にスポーツ観戦をして過ごします。
また、コンピューター・トレーニングも独学でやってます。僕の好きなことのひとつです。たくさんのコーディングをして楽しんでいます。思考能力も高まります。とはいえ、独学は、ちょっと難しく、たいへんなこともありますが、最終的に自分で解決できた時は、おもしろいです。
また、僕のやっている勉強の科目や趣味に関する情報を得るために、夕方にまるまる1週間、図書館に通ったこともあります。僕の将来のキャリアのための大きな夢のひとつは、日々の活動における技術的な道具への理解ができるように学習の方法を革新させることです。ティーンエージャーがそれぞれの生産的な方法を創造し、応用していくことを促すためです。それにより、教育システムは開始しやすくなり、学習者としての学生たちも交流しやすくなるでしょう。
1学期は3月に終わりました。ちょっとしんどくもありましたが、そのしんどさを通して多くのことを学べたことに胸を張りたいです。1週間の休暇で、ダルエスサラームに戻りました。4月の終わりに休暇が終わります。引き続き、身体的にも精神的にも精進するように頑張ります。

GREETINGS!
I hope you are doing great and healthy, pursuing your everyday activities. I am fine and healthier with much potential to pursue my responsibilities. As I am continuing well with my studies, here is the 1st semester report; The end of my high school education marked the beginning of university education. In which I was enrolled to pursue my studies at MKWAWA University College of education. It is one of the campuses of the university of Dar es salaam, that is located at Iringa region in Tanzania.
On November 2017, I travelled to Iringa by bus. The journey from Dar es salaam to Iringa took 9 hours on road. Mkwawa university campus is approximately 3 kilometers from the main bus terminal. I arrived safely at the university on the same day. The next day after arrival, I got registered and immediately started to attend lectures on the same day.
I was admitted to take a course on Bachelor of Education in Physics. The course is intended to deliver quality teaching, research and public services in education geared at transforming society. It is a key to teaching career in schools, colleges and universities. My desire to become a theoretical physicist was a great influence that made me to join the course. The campus environment is great for studies though the weather condition in Iringa is a bit colder than I was used before. It was my pleasure to once again meet some of my friends whom I interacted with when I was in secondary school that is also located at Iringa (Ifunda technical secondary school).
It was not a hard thing to get used to the environment as it was a bit familiar. I had some new friends whom I cooperated with in various activities. There are some interesting activities apart from studies such as sports and games like basketball, football and volley ball. I used to perform physical exercises during the evening session on weekdays and watch sport events during weekends with friends.
I also did some self-training in computer programming as one of my favorite activities. I usually enjoy coding a lot as it also helps to improve thinking capacity. Though self-training is a little bit tough and challenging, but its for fun when I finally get a solution. I also used to go to the library at the evening session for whole week to get information regarding the subjects’ matters on my studies and hobbies. One of my huge dream in the future career is to innovate a way of learning that will enable the understanding of technological tools in everyday activities. To inspire teenagers on the application of own productive ways in manufacture. It would be easy to start with the education system and have interaction with students who are intended learners. The 1st semesters ended on march 2018. It was a bit challenging, but I was proud to have learned a lot through the same challenges. I went back to Dar es salaam for a 1 week holiday, which will end on April 2018. I am planning to continue with the struggle, aiming on improvement in mental and physical ways. I am sending a sincere gratitude and appreciations to you all in any supportive ways that you contributed until now that I reached this stage. Thankfully;

第12回目の奨学金としてモハメッドへの大学(Mkwawa University and College of Education)の 半年分の学生寮と図書館費と帰省の交通費の支給を4月5日にTsh1,012,500に行っています。
・食費：Tsh542,500（Tsh3,500×155日分） ・寮費：Tsh125,000（Tsh25,000×5か月分） ・図書館費：Tsh305,000 ・帰省費用：Tsh40,000（ダルエスサラーム、イリンガ往復） 今回の支給で、基金の残高は以下のようになっています。 657,000円＋US$698＋Tsh346,300 ($500を$1＝Tsh2255のレートで両替）
