☆第六回めの奨学金を支給☆

2013年8月26日に他界した弊社の創業者の一人であったサルム・グビ（Salum Ngubi）さんの遺児の学費援助のための『グビさん遺児育英基金』には多くの方々のご協力をいただいています。 現段階（2015年10月31日）で、72人の方がたから1,537,000円＋US$2,012＋€535＋Tsh1,020,000のご芳志をいただきました。ありがとうございました。

本基金としては第六回目の奨学金支給を、長女アダさんへ、10月30日に行いました。
今回の支給は以下のものです。（年間） ①授業料：Tsh1,440,000 ②寮費：Tsh1,000,000 ③文房具代：Tsh 600,000 ＊合計Tsh3,040,000
なお、モハメッドさんの寮費の2回目として、10月6日にTsh450,000を別途支給しています。

Hello, hope you’re all fine and doing well. Here is my college report.
On 28th September 2014, I completed my Diploma level. It was very good to finish it without failed paper.
On 6th October, I managed to complete my registration for Bachelor of Arts with education and I got another chance to proceed with degree level.
On 13th October, it was the orientation day and I reported to the dean of student’s office for my subject timetable to select two specialized subject as the major and minor subject. I preferred Kiswahili subject as the major one and History as the minor subject as I did in diploma. Within these subjects I had ten course tittles to deal with.
On the same week classes started and almost the whole days of week I attended class session except on Sunday. After three weeks we were supposed to sat for test one, and it was the time that library was my best friend although I used to attend every after my class hour. I also conducted group discussion with my classmates although we have library at school, there is no enough materials for our subjects especially my subjects, and so I had a lot to search but I had nowhere to search them I used to borrow laptops from my classmates.
We took almost a week to finish our exams although it was very tough but I thank God I did my best. I proceed with normal class session after the exam. Then, after the whole week of class session we told to prepare a group presentation, it was a micro teaching, every group had different topic to search and present in front of classmates and teachers - and this was the highly way to improve my confidence and teaching knowledge. It was very nice because I did well.
On 5th November, we sat for test two, it was a bit tough but I did well. After that we proceed with normal class session till December, then we had short holiday for Christmas and New year of 2015, I went home for my holiday. I was so excited to have time with my family and relatives, also I used this time to visit my grandmother, then I went to clean my father’s grave.
I arrived at school on date as it was on 5th January 2015 and I proceed with my class session then from there I prepared for the final exams.
On 2nd February, I started my final exams for the end of first year first semester. The exams were very tough because I had not enough resources, but I thank God I did well. On 10th February, I finished my final exams and then we sat for the faculty meeting, its where we started our holiday then I went home for my holiday for a month, but this time I spend with my family.
On 2nd April, the second semester started and I attended on date as usual to start the second semester of year 1. Here I had 7 course tittles under two subjects and these were; History of Africa, History of East Africa, Curriculum design, Communication skill, Methodology of teaching history, Methodology of teaching Swahili, literature in Swahili. It was very hard to handle these subjects without books. Classes started on the same week and I continued with my daily timetable I attended classes every weekdays.
On 2nd May, I started test one of the Second semester, I took one week to finish. Then I proceed with my usually timetable and mostly I used evening time to conduct group discussions with my classmates.
On 5th June, I did yeast two of Second semester. Although it was tough I did my best, then I proceed with my class session and on 10th July I started the final exams for second semester it was very tough.
On 28th July, I started teaching practice and I went ILALA SECONDARY SCHOOL for my teaching practice, it was nice I experienced a lot about teaching, also it was pleasure to improve my confidence, the activities went well although I faced some difficulties but I passed my assessment.
On 20th September, I started my holiday. I will spend my time at home. After the Election, the school will be open on 4th November 2015.

こんにちは。みなさん、お元気でお過ごしのことと思います。これはわたしのスクール・レポートです。
2014年9月28日に無事にディプロマ課程を終えました。試験を落とすことなく終えられてとてもよかったです。
10月6日に教育と文学の修士課程の登録を完了し、わたしは、学位のレベルを進める別のチャンスを得ました。
10月13日はオリエンテーションの日でした。授業の時間割のために専攻科目と副専攻科目の二つを選んで学生課の長に届けました。専攻科目にはスワヒリ語が、副専攻科目にはディプロマ課程のときに勉強した歴史がいいと思いました。これらの科目の中には取り組むべき10のコース・タイトルがありました。
その週に授業が始まり、日曜日以外はほぼ毎日授業に出席していました。3週間後に試験が予定されていたので、図書館がわたしの親友となりました。毎回授業が終わるとそこに行っていました。クラスメートたちとのグループ・ディスカッションもまた実施しました。しかし、図書館はあるものの、学科、とくにわたしの専攻科目について調べるための十分な資料がそこにはありませんでした。多くのことを調べなければいけなかったのですが、ほかに調べられるところもなかったので、クラスの友人からノートパソコンを借りていました。
試験終了までにほぼ1週間かかりました。とてもたいへんでした。でも、ベストを尽くせたことを神に感謝しています。試験の後は通常授業が続きました。そして、丸一週間の授業ののち、グループ・プレゼンテーションの準備をするように言われました。それは模擬授業です。それぞれのグループが違ったトピックについて調べて、クラスメートと先生方の前で発表するのです。これは、わたしの教育知識を深めて自信を持つのにとてもいい方法でした。なぜならとてもよくできたからです。
11月5日には試験が2つありました。少し難しくありましたが、がんばりました。その後、12月まで通常授業が続きました。そしてクリスマスと新年の短いお休みとなりました。わたしは実家に戻り、家族や親戚たちととても楽しいひと時をすごしました。また祖母にも会いに行きました。父のお墓も清めました。
2015年1月5日に学校に戻りました。授業を受け、期末試験の準備をしました。 2月2日に1年目の1学期を締めくくる期末試験が始まりました。十分な資料がなかったので、とても手強かったですが、がんばりました。神に感謝。2月10日に試験は終わり、先生方との面談があり、休暇がはじまりました。一月間ありましたが、実家で家族と過ごしていました。
4月2日に2学期が始まりました。いつものように始業の日から出席しました。わたしは2科目のもとにある7つのコースをとりました。アフリカの歴史、東アフリカの歴史、カリキュラム・デザイン、コミュニケーション技術、歴史教育の方法論、スワヒリ語教育の方法論、スワヒリ文学です。書籍なしでこれらの科目をやっていくのはとてもたいへんでした。授業はその週に始まり、勉強のスケジュールの日課を続け、、毎週の平日には授業に出席しました。
5月2日、試験のうちのひとつが始まりました。一週間で終わりました。そして通常の日課を続けましたが、ほとんどの夕方の時間はクラスメートたちとグループディス・カッションを実施していました。
6月5日、2つの試験がありました。難しかったけれど、ベストを尽くしました。その後、授業に戻り、7月10日にとても手強い2学期の期末試験が始まりました。
7月28日にイララ・セカンダリー・スクールでの教育実習が始まりました。そこでは教えるということについてたくさんの経験ができ、よかったです。自信を深める喜びがありました。いくつかの困難もありましたが、実習はうまく行き、よい評価を受けました。
9月20日に休暇が始まりました。実家で過ごしました。総選挙後、11月4日に新学年が始まります。
どうやってこのお礼の気持ちを伝えたらいいのかわかりませんが、皆さんのお心遣いにほんとうに心から感謝しています。

長女のアダといい、このモハメッドといい、グビさんに似て温和で優しい、真面目な子どもたちです。グビさんの子どもたちの教育への遺志をなんとか引き継いでいきたいと思いますので、引き続き見守っていただきたいと思います。
今回の支給で、基金の残高は以下のようになっています。 937,000円＋US$2,897＋Tsh9077,200 今回はUS$1,500をUS$1＝Tsh2,160のレートで両替しました。
次回の支給はモハメッドの5回目（1年生の寮費の3分割の3回目）で、2016年1月の予定です。
